Phil Welches, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist with 35 years of experience in mental health and substance use therapies. He is a collaborative, non-directive psychotherapist, influenced by existential, meditative, and transpersonal psychology perspectives. He offers experience-near approaches to help clients explore their deeper selves, access inner wisdom, and integrate insights into meaningful living. Phil is a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies Certification Program in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research. As a provider in the Psychedelic Support Network, he offers services to individuals who, as a result of encountering non-ordinary states of consciousness, search for understanding and/or distress resolution. In addition to harm-reduction therapy, he provides (with a physician) Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. His prior work includes clinical and administrative directorship roles and provider agency consultations. He is an author of peer-reviewed journal articles on collaborative approaches to therapy, assessment, and research.
