Roots Behavioral Health

Roots Behavioral Health was founded in 2016 by husband-and-wife team Brent and Andrea Turnipseed to address a pressing need for affordable and accessible behavioral healthcare in Austin. Since then, the Roots family has grown to include two locations, an additional physician, nine physician assistants, seven psychotherapists, and a roster of amazing support staff. In addition, Roots has expanded services to include ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, a ground-breaking approach for the treatment of depression, anxiety, and other serious conditions. Roots aspires to create a new, person-centric model of behavioral healthcare, one that regards patients as whole human beings, not just a cluster of facts or symptoms. We endeavor to employ the very best tools and approaches to promote well-being.
