The Project Manager, Drug Discovery Center (DDC) will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of drug discovery programmes conducted within the remit of the DDC.
The role will involve extensive interaction between COMPASS team members, DDC collaborators and other external parties.
Roles and responsibilities
Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Management of the daily operations of DDC discovery projects, communicating progress and issues with team members
- Project management activities (eg GANTT charts, budgets) to enable internal team to monitor project progress and timely delivery of milestones
- Coordination with COMPASS team members and DDC collaborators to support project logistics and establish data archiving processes
- Close communication with scientists to adapt project plans according to latest scientific knowledge and team strategy
- Point of contact for all external partners
Profile
- Postgraduate degree in pharmacology or neuroscience, or closely-related life sciences discipline
- Previous experience of small molecule drug discovery processes, ideally within the context of CNS indications
- Track record of delivery of drug discovery milestones
- Good relationship management skills, ideally with experience of remote management of multiple stakeholders
- Strong project management skills, ideally in the context of Pharma/Biotech
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
