It has since grown to become a full-service operation promoting well-being in individuals, organizations, and communities. Their team is comprised of doctoral-level psychologists, qualified mindfulness facilitators, certified coaches, and consultants with decades of experience. Whether in one-on-one sessions, group programs, or retreats, you can count on their know-how, attention to detail, and understanding. 

Mindspace is seeking a vision and mission aligned Group Programming Marketing Specialist, reporting to the clinic founder and Managing Partner, to ensure programs are current, contemporary, meet the needs of the community, the goals and objectives of the business and are marketed and promoted effectively to target communities. This includes all group mindfulness and well-being/psychoeducation programming for the public offered by the clinic, as well as professional development / continuing education programs for health-care professionals. 

Job Summary

  • In collaboration with the Programming Coordinator, ensure balanced seasonal offering of groups, including the core program (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC)) as well as the testing and development of new programs, in English and French
  • Create, execute and track the effectiveness of marketing and promotion plans to support group programming enrolment, including content calendar planning for the overall brand, social media management, and paid campaigns; create and produce content, including copywriting and formatting for monthly newsletter with guidance and support from Communications as appropriate
  • In collaboration with the Programming Coordinator, provide oversight and direction to the business side of the programs: pricing, structure, scheduling, staffing, monitoring effectiveness of the program
  • Create and prepare reports that monitor and record key performance indicators for program success to be shared with the management team
  • Manage Teacher/facilitator relationships and compensation agreements
  • Manage timing schedule to meet market demand minimizing self-competition
  • Manage budgets and logistics for more complex, bigger scale professional development events

Experience

  • Managed promotions and/or events, marketed programs and/or services to generate uptake
  • Familiarity with the business side of healthcare/wellness services
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and measure effectiveness of a program, to create and/or use key performance indicators to assess success, comfortable with numbers and data analysis
  • Budget management; competency with Excel or other financial spreadsheet apps
  • Managed scheduling and/or project staffing, aligning delivery with skills, fit, competency and interests to create optimal experience for all participants
  • Experience with mental health an asset
  • Undergraduate degree in psychology or other relevant discipline is preferred
  • Fluent communicator in English and French

Location

Prior to 2020 these programs were offered exclusively in-person, in and around Montreal, either at our studio space on Greene ave, or third party locations at other studios or retreats spaces within an hour of the city. As of 2020 all programming has been offered online and continues to be for the foreseeable future. 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, you will be required to set up an office in your home in order to carry out the accountabilities of your role.
