The 20-hour per week Mentor Director and Instruction Supervisor participates actively in the life of the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research to forward pedagogical best practices and innovations to enhance student learning. The Mentor Director and Instruction Supervisor reports to the Center Director and works with the Certificate Director, Instruction Associate, and program staff to support the full range of threshold events for each student's progress in the program. The Mentor Director and Instruction Supervisor is responsible for training and overseeing the Lead Mentors, the Instruction Associate, and the Mentors, as well as ensures that records of assignment completion and tracking of student progress are timely and accurate. The Mentor Director and Instruction Supervisor works with the Certificate Director, mentoring staff and certificate staff and provides advisement when a student misses excessive class learning time or is having problems in the program and may refer a student to the Trainee Support Committee for remediation work. When students petition to graduate, the Mentor Director and Instruction Supervisor assesses their performance and completion of all requirements with the Instruction Associate and approves the conferral of all certificates of completion of the training program. The Mentor Director and Instruction Supervisor supports the Mentors in fulfilling their responsibilities and conducts problem-solving as needed in collaboration with the Lead Mentors.
This position is a 20 hour per week role with some options for working remotely on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Co-develop and communicate across a curricular vision for the Center that emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, compassion, and integrity.
- Promote a learning culture, incorporating professional development and ethics, program Beloved Community Initiative and Agreements, and reflective practices.
- Assist in on-going projects as needed in the Center.
- Support and track Mentors in all aspects of their work with the trainee mentoring groups.
- Communicate with and supervise Lead Mentors regarding training and support for program Mentors including best practices in group facilitation and cultural competencies, problem-solving and fielding questions, and advisement related to trainees or development of the mentor program.
- Act as academic advisor and problem-solver for concerns with student performance.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the Instruction Associate regarding the advice and professional development to help students meet individual, program, and schoolwide goals and expectations.
- Review student completion of all required projects and activities with Instruction Associate to ensure accuracy.
- Refer students to the CPTR Trainee Support Committee, in consultation with Mentors, for feedback and remediation when their academic and/or professional performance is not meeting expectations.
- Collaborate with the Center Director, Certificate Director, and Enrollment and Admissions Manager to ensure cohesion and alignment of support for Mentors, faculty and students and course materials to further develop cultural applicability and high-quality standard of program offerings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's or equivalent degree in counseling, psychology or medical fields.
- A strong clinical background as a psychotherapist or medical professional, preferably with an understanding of psychedelic-assisted therapies.
- Six or more years of administrative experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Advanced studies and experience in educational leadership preferred but not required.
- Experience with training, clinical supervision, mentoring, and coaching and experience promoting professional development.
- Demonstrable commitment to diversity and equity.
- Meticulous, with strong analytical skills as well as technology skills and software fluency.
- Skill in delivering and receiving feedback.
- The vision, flexibility, energy, patience, adaptability, and sense of humor to lead successfully and cultivate growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software and email applications.

Salary commensurate with skills and experience for this part-time position.
NOTES TO CANDIDATE
Working Conditions -- Duties are primarily performed in an office environment at a desk or computer terminal, typically, Monday through Friday. The exact 4 hours per day of work can be negotiated.
