We are the leading provider of personal and professional mindfulness-based programs in Quebec and a pioneer in the emerging field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Numinus recently announced the acquisition of Mindspace, which has created opportunities for us to further develop and grow our well-being programming offering.

Mindspace is seeking a vision- and mission-aligned Manager of Programming, reporting to the clinic founder and Director, to ensure programs are relevant and meet the needs of the community and the goals and objectives of the business. This includes all group mindfulness and well-being programming for the public and professional development programs for health-care professionals.

Job Summary

  • Manage all aspects of group programming from conception to promotion and administration, with support from Mindspace’s customer-care team
  • Ensure balanced seasonal offering of core program: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) in English and French
  • Test / develop new programs
  • Provide oversight and direction to the business side of the programs: pricing, structure, scheduling, staffing, monitoring effectiveness of the program
  • Create and prepare reports that monitor and record key performance indicators for program success to guide decision making along with the management team
  • Manage Teacher/facilitator relationships and compensation agreements
  • Manage timing schedule to meet market demand minimizing self-competition
  • Manage budgets and logistics for more complex, bigger scale professional development events
  • Promote programming, including copywriting and formatting for monthly newsletter with guidance and support from Communications as appropriate

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.

Education/Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in psychology or other relevant discipline is preferred
  • Fluent communicator in English and French
  • Managed promotions and/or events, marketed programs and/or services to generate uptake
  • Managed scheduling and/or project staffing, aligning delivery with skills, fit, competency and interests to create optimal experience for all participants
  • Familiarity with the business side of healthcare/wellness services is an asset
  • Budget management; competency with Excel or other financial spreadsheet apps
  • Team management in a dynamic healthcare or related environment
  • Experience with mental health an asset

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Customer service orientation with commercial acumen
  • Comfortable with technical and scientific language and communicating with diverse audiences including knowledgeable and skilled practitioners
  • Purpose driven with a desire to impact the wellbeing of others
  • Strongly motivated by a belief in the efficacy of the mindfulness mindset
  • Hands-on, collaborative, collegial, takes accountability and will dive in to make sure things get done
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, organized self-starter

Location

Prior to 2020, these programs were offered exclusively in-person, in and around Montreal, either at our studio space on Greene ave, or third party locations at other studios or retreats spaces within an hour of the city. As of 2020, all programming has been offered online and continues to be for the foreseeable future.
