At Maya, we know that psychedelic medicine has the power to shift the paradigm of mental healthcare on a global scale. However, the pioneers in psychedelic medicine don’t have an easy way to demonstrate the clinical benefits of their work. 

Maya is a digital platform designed to help psychedelic practitioners manage, measure, and illustrate health outcomes, so they can optimize their services, scale safely, and help advance psychedelic healthcare. 

Responsibilities

As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will:

  • Taking ownership of meetings, scheduling, and accountability
  • Surprising and delighting the team and outside contacts with your communication 
  • Triaging correspondences to optimize the team’s time
  • Becoming a voice of Maya through phone and zoom calls with the community
  • Summarizing and organizing key meeting notes and reminders
  • Making travel arrangements and sometimes traveling with the executive team
  • Writing and editing reports, SOPs and instructional documents
  • Designing reports and beautiful presentations that represent our brand
  • Managing light HR responsibilities such as 360 reviews and motivational conversations
  • Performing minor accounting and bookkeeping duties
  • Keeping our office vibrant and stocked, organizing catering and events
  • Picking up packages, meals, supplies or cake for the team in Denver
  • Learn executive skills from an accomplished CEO and high-functioning, welcoming team.

Technical requirements

 We are only looking for candidates with comfort using:

  • Mac OS
  • Gsuite
  • Keynote

Requirements

Absolute needs:

  • Physical proximity to Denver, CO and ability to appear in person most days of the week.
  • Right to live and work in the US, we are not offering sponsorship as part of this role.
  • A valid driving license and passport.
  • The ability to make decisions where appropriate, while knowing when to gather executive or team input before acting.
  • Communications and collaboration skills, allowing them to optimize for the team’s time while remaining unblocked on your own priorities.
  • Organizational intelligence, and the ability to prioritize skillfully for both your own workflow and that of the team.
  • Writing expertise, both on a grammatical level and with the ability to adapt to a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to educational, for both internal and external communications.
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines. Honesty and integrity.
  • The ability to act as gatekeeper and escalate relevant information to executives as needed.

 A great candidate has:

  • 2-3 years of administrative assistant experience
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • A strong desire to up-skill while remaining humble and patient
  • Ability to treat confidential information with appropriate discretion
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in your work at all levels
  • Ability to adapt and respond to challenges with a positive mental attitude
  • Involvement in the consciousness community. Interest in mindfulness and plant medicine
  • Experience working in early stage technology start-ups
  • Familiarity with the healthcare space.

Compensation

We are offering a full-time position with the option of starting on a part-time basis and converting to full-time. Given the level of training this role requires, candidates must have interest in considering a full-time role now or in the near future.

Starting salary, negotiable: $45,000

Reviews will be held by your manager at least every 6 months, presenting an opportunity for a title change and compensation adjustment where appropriate.
