About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with other members of senior management, you will develop and manage a comprehensive, best-in-class corporate communications and IR program, that aligns with company strategy and leverages a strong understanding of the investment, mental health and psychedelic medicine communities to enhance the perception and visibility of Novamind. Blending creativity and analytics, you will develop and craft investor relations materials to effectively position the company’s strategy, key messages and financial data. You will also create a strategic communication plan for the organization ensuring information provided is impactful, accurate and timely. We are looking for an experienced, energetic and detail-oriented individual, capable of hands-on multi-tasking, and driven by an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team in a growing, fast-paced industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the drafting, review, and dissemination of press releases to newswire services
- Develop messaging, draft and regularly update corporate presentations, fact sheets, company websites and executive communication documents
- Develop consistent messaging and flow across all external collateral materials
- Organize and oversee investor events including investor meetings, conferences, road shows, annual general meetings, and other miscellaneous events and projects
- Create messaging and draft scripts for quarterly conference calls and other public-facing communications
- Provide information and analysis to keep internal stakeholders informed of the opinions of analysts and the investment community, and the activities of competitors
- Track, manage, and summarize analyst reports, earnings estimates and financial models
- Develop and execute comprehensive media and other external communications plans to support key corporate and IR priorities
- Manage the creation and execution of awareness campaigns to maximize the reach of press releases and other relevant corporate updates
- Work with and manage external service providers that support investor relations and corporate communications, including IR and PR consultants, investor communication services and digital and social media partners
- Other duties as requested by Novamind’s senior leadership team
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- A university degree in finance, or business-related field
- Proven skills in investor relations and corporate communications gained from experience with a publicly-listed company
- Knowledge of North American equity capital markets
- Financial literacy and familiarity with financial statements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to distill complex data into a clear narrative for stakeholders
- Exceptionally detail-oriented
- Strong project management skills, and able to multi-task and cope with a heavy and varied workload
- Strong inter-personal skills and presentation capabilities
- Skilled with PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with creative software (Figma, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop etc.) would be an asset
- Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of, or experience in healthcare services, wellness, or other related healthcare sector
