CORPORATE FINANCE MANAGER

Our growing team is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on manager to help lead corporate finance initiatives. Reporting to the CFO, this is a high-visibility role that will drive the company’s growth, and will be responsible for supporting the leadership team in a variety of capacities, including stakeholder management (board, investors, advisors), corporate development, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives. 

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in corporate finance, preferably within life science or technology, and have experience building financial processes, implementing systems, and supporting IPO readiness initiatives.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help lead and build a world-class corporate finance
  • Build and manage strategic and financial planning processes including monthly forecasts and annual operating plan, forecast company revenue and cash flow
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting, i.e. analyze financial results to prioritize and plan investment decisions in collaboration with senior management, evaluate and develop robust models on key trends, assess current and future business risk, and communicate key messages to stakeholders including senior management, the Board, and Investors
  • Build deep business partner relationships across the organization to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements, provide primary budget support for all G&A functions
  • Own and enhance the implementation of a new accounting system, drive scalable reporting and tools for the Finance and Strategy organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and teams including Accounting, Legal, HR, Commercial Development, IR, Recruiting and other
  • Drive accuracy and consistency in our financial forecasting and help lead IPO and public company readiness efforts
  • Support the rolling forecast and long-range planning process at the corporate level in close coordination with the CFO
  • Support the CFO on Board materials and financial summaries for the executive team including weekly and monthly dashboard of operating results, trends, and KPIs versus Company targets
  • Track ongoing performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and identify opportunities to help drive greater efficiencies

 

QUALIFICATIONS

As this is a highly cross-functional role, candidates are required to be highly analytical and remarkably effective communicators. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of superior financial modeling and using analysis to influence decision-making, including prior experience in a corporate finance and/or strategy-related role. The candidate should be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, highly team-oriented, inquisitive, enjoy problem-solving and focused on driving towards results.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field from top-tier university with strong academic performance; MBA a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in investment banking, FP&A at a private equity-backed company, and/or corporate FP&A experience at a pre-IPO/IPO company (Life Sciences preferred)
  • Comfortable with fast-paced and demanding environment
