Business Development Intern

We are unlocking the potential of nature and harnessing synthetic biology to re-design radical new approaches to combat poorly served health conditions. Octarine is perfecting a biological approach to producing novel cannabinoid and psychedelic molecules with tailored modes-of-action. While cannabinoids and psychedelics are commonly known as illicit drugs, a growing body of clinical research is demonstrating their breakthrough potential to treat a range of neurological disorders. 

The position:

We are looking for a student helper to support our CEO with business development and operational related tasks who’s motivated by a high degree of responsibility as well as a desire to make a positive impact in the world. 

Your day-to-day tasks will vary but could include, updating our business plan, conducting market research, developing our pitch deck, following up on leads with potential customers and investors and operational tasks related to establishing Octarine’s new lab facility. 

Who are we looking for:

As a small company, we’re looking for an exceptionally talented individual who’s capable of working independently and is looking to get hands on experience running a biotech start-up 

In addition, we expect you to have the following skills:

-        Experience in business development (preferably working experience but experience from your studies is also fine)

-        Interest in biology/biotechnology

-        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

-        Excellent communication and writing skills
