Introduction to Psychedelic Therapy for Addiction Medicine
Description
Join Matthew W. Johnson, Ph.D. and colleagues Albert Garcia-Romeu, Ph.D. and Sandeep Nayak, MD from the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic Research for an exploration of the history, state of the art, and future of psychedelics in the treatment of addiction disorders.
Early research with psychedelic therapy in the 1960s and 1970s showed great promise, and several new psilocybin studies indicate the potential for improved treatments of addictions such as alcoholism, cigarette smoking, and cocaine abuse.
