The Cannabis Pharmacist: A Bottom-up Clinical Approach

The roles and requirements of a clinical pharmacist in medical cannabis programs vary due to a patchwork of state regulations. Factor in conflicts with federal governing bodies and policies, and the patient experience changes with every dispensary visit. Standardizing practices to ensure patients receive superb clinical guidance while maximizing harm reduction should remain at the forefront of priority for all practicing clinicians in this space. Taking a ground-up clinical approach and working alongside patients requires them to be empowered to make self- motivated decisions.
