Psilocybin

I offer my services as massage therapist, end of life/grief doula and psilocybin facilitator as a way to cultivate healing, resiliency, and connection to self and community, weaving a tapestry of healing arts to assist in our collective journey towards wholeness and wellness. I believe there are many ways to achieve this, and I love supporting clients in their unique process and working together to find the path that fits best for their individual intentions. Grassroots Wellness was established in 2008 and it is my goal that my offerings can be a restorative, nurturing balm for body and soul.

I received my initial massage training from the Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College in Flagstaff, Arizona, graduating in 2003. In the years since, I have extensively studied many additional modalities to deepen my understanding of the body, heart and mind, always aiming to learn and grow as a bodyworker.

My doula training, (both birth and death) has been a powerful experience and strengthened my belief that these are sacred transitions: beautiful, raw, vulnerable, painful, transformative. My healing arts practice has been influenced by these lessons, including the importance of listening, being focused and present in the moment, creating a deeply nurturing space- both physically and emotionally, establishing my client's trust, and using intuition to guide our work together. I am not practicing as a birth doula, but I am offering my services as an end of life/grief doula, and I would be happy to answer any questions regarding this service.
My work with psilocybin has been a transformative journey which I am deeply grateful for. Personally, it has helped me to heal from trauma, grief and to process my near-death experience. I have great respect and reverence for the mushrooms and the way that they help us grow, heal and become better humans. I am honored and excited to have received training and graduated from InnerTrek with the very first cohort of legal psilocybin facilitators in the US and I am thrilled to be able to support clients as they do deep work with these sacred mushrooms in a safe, therapeutic, trauma-informed and reverent way.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring nature, mycology and mushroom foraging, music, dancing, Muay Thai kickboxing, paddleboarding and traveling. My son, Tristin, was born in 2007, so these past years have also been an adventure in motherhood.

I look forward to working with you, and please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Description

I am a trauma-informed, professionally trained and licensed psilocybin facilitator and I have a deep respect for this healing and transformative work. I graduated from InnerTrek, in the first cohort of legal psilocybin professionals to be working under Oregon's Measure 109, which legalized psilocybin services.
I am continuously learning and honing my skills and my ongoing education includes a beautiful combination of science and sacred, from studying the newest research to honoring ancient and Indigenous wisdom and the cultures that have worked with mushrooms ceremonially for thousands of years.
The human/mushroom connection goes way back, with the oldest cave painting of a mushroom shaman dated at 6,000 B.C.E. In more recent years, many well-respected research centers such as Johns Hopkins University have conducted extensive studies showing the benefits of psilocybin for mental health and wellbeing, including neuroplasticity (the brain's ability to re-wire it's functions and make new neural connections and re-map malfunctioning systems) which is a wonderful tool for forming new habits, letting go of negative patterns, assisting in overcoming issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, long Covid, addiction, and the grief/fear at end of life.
My work is rooted in nature-based, holistic, somatic practices and introspective exploration to encourage transformation and healing, enhanced creativity, personal growth, spiritual expansion, embodied wellness and a renewed connection with one's authentic self.
